1 c. shortening (1/2 butter, 1/2 shortening)
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs, med. or lg.
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
Chips (1/2 chocolate, 1/2 German chocolate)
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix and bake on greased cookie sheet. Check time by baking 1 cookie for 9-10 minutes at 375 degrees, 10-12 minutes.
