ED'S THREE BEAN SALAD 
This is a very tasty salad. Great with meals and as a snack anytime.

VEGETABLES:

1 (15 oz.) can green beans, drained (French cut)
1 (15 oz.) can green lima beans, drained
1 (15 oz.) can young sweet peas, drained
1 small white onion (cut in 1/2 then slice each 1/2 very thin and separate rings)
1 small purple onion (for color; cut as above)
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 cup chopped celery

SAUCE:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup salad oil
1 tbsp. salt
pepper, to taste
1 cup apple cider vinegar

Drain and mix all vegetables very CAREFULLY in a large bowl.

In a large jar, add all the sauce ingredients. Stir or shake jar until sugar is dissolved. Pour content of jar into bowl of mixed vegetables.

Let stand in refrigerator for 24 hours, stirring once in a while.
