BURGER DIVAN | |
3 slices bacon 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. dried oregano, crushed 1 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. whipping cream 1/4 c. mayonnaise 1 sm. zucchini, very thinly sliced 4 thick slices tomato 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 4 Kaiser rolls, split Cook bacon until crisp and drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings. Crumble bacon; set aside. Cook onion in the reserved drippings until onion is tender not brown. In the bowl combine the onion, bacon, Worcestershire sauce, salt, mustard and oregano; add ground beef; mix well. Shape into 4 patties, about 1/2" thick. Whip cream just until soft peaks form; fold in mayonnaise. Broil burgers 3" from heat for 4 minutes; turn burgers. Broil 3 minutes more. Top each burger with a few slices of zucchini and 1 tomato slice. Spoon sauce on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Broil 1 minute more. Serve on rolls. Makes 4 servings. |
