FRENCH TOAST 
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
6 slices bread, 3/4 inch thick
4 tbsp. butter

In medium bowl, whisk together egg, milk, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and vanilla, until blended. Place bread slices on a rimmed baking sheet and slowly pour the batter over the bread. Turn bread until it is all coated with batter. Press a piece of waxed paper directly on the bread to cover it. Refrigerate overnight.

When ready to serve, melt butter in skillet. Fry bread over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Serve with Cinnamon Syrup.

CINNAMON SYRUP:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. whipping cream or evaporated milk

Stir together all ingredients except milk, boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add milk. Cool 30 minutes. Use French, sourdough, or Texas toast.
