2 c. diced, pared pear or 1 c. each diced pear & unpared red apple
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 c. thinly sliced celery
1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts

French dressing

Toss fruit with lemon juice, sugar and 1 tablespoons mayonnaise. Just before serving, add celery, walnuts, rest of mayonnaise; toss. Serve on crisp lettuce, sprinkled with French dressing.
