HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat 1/3 c. fat 1 garlic clove 3 c. sliced onions 2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. caraway seeds 1 tbsp. vinegar or wine 2 tbsp. tomato paste Brown meat, onions and garlic in fat. Add salt, paprika, pepper, caraway seeds; cook 20 minutes. Add water to cover and wine. Cook covered 2 hours. Add water if needed before serving stir in tomato paste. Serve on noodles, cooked with parsley. Hint: Try green noodles during Christmas. |
