HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
1 lb. beef, cubed
1/2 lb. pork cubed
2 med. onions, diced
1 tsp. paprika
3 tbsp. Crisco for frying
Salt to taste

Brown onions, don't burn. Remove from fry pan and set aside. Brown the beef and pork then add onions with the meat. Add paprika and salt. Add about 1 1/2 cups water and stew until meat is done. If it is too soupy, add a little flour and water mix to the above and cook another 5 minutes. Serve with noodles or boiled potatoes. (See German Spaetzle recipe below.)
