TEA CAKES 
1 c. butter
3 eggs
4 - 4 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. buttermilk

Cream butter, add sugar and beat in eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and soda and add to mixture with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Roll and cut. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
