CHERRY CHEWBILEES 
1 c. walnut pieces, divided
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. butter

FILLING:

2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 can (21 oz.) pie filling (cherry)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Chop walnuts. Set aside 1/2 cup for topping. Add the rest of crust ingredients. Mix until mealy texture. Put in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes. Mix cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla until smooth. Spread over hot crust.

Bake 15 minutes. Add cherry pie filling and top with remaining nuts. Bake 15 minutes, cool. Refrigerate several hours. Cut into bars about 2 x 1 1/2 inches.
