PORK CHOPS AND POTATOES | |
6 pork chops, 3/4 inch 8-12 lg. potatoes Milk Oleo WHITE SAUCE: 1/2 stick butter 2 heaping tbsp. flour 2 c. milk Salt and pepper Peel and slice potatoes and put in buttered 9x13 inch pan. Dot butter over all and sprinkle salt and pepper over potatoes. Make the white sauce by melting 1/2 stick butter and stirring in 2 heaping tablespoons of flour, stirring until bubbly, then add 2 cups milk and stir until slightly thickened. Season with a little salt and pepper. Pour over potatoes and add about 1/2 cup milk and pour over top. Place seasoned pork chops on top and bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour or until potatoes are done. If pork chops are browned nicely, cover dish with foil until potatoes are done. |
