ASPARAGUS WITH GARLIC BUTTER 
2 lbs. fresh asparagus or 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen asparagus
3 tbsp. butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. soy sauce (optional)

Cut asparagus on the diagonal into 1 inch pieces. Cook asparagus, covered, in boiling water 4 to 6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Melt butter in large saucepan and add garlic and soy sauce. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Add asparagus and toss to coat. Reheat before serving, if necessary. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
