GERMAN CARAMEL DELIGHT CAKE 
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 stick melted butter
1/3 c. milk
1 (14 oz.) pkg. light caramels
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Chopped pecans

Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour half batter into greased, floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, melt butter, milk and caramels together in double boiler. Pour caramel mixture over the half baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Pour remaining cake batter over chocolate chips and pecans.

Return to oven, reduce temperature to 250 degrees and bake 10 minutes. Turn up oven to 350 degrees and bake another 10 minutes. Let completely cool. Cut in squares.
