ALMOND BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. almond extract

FROST WITH ICING WHILE WARM:

4 tbsp. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Butter loaf pan well. Sprinkle with sugar. Pour in batter and sprinkle 2 tablespoons slivered almonds on top of batter before baking. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
