1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 cups self-rising flour
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a tube pan.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Alternately add flour and milk. Add vanilla extract. Pour batter into tube pan.

Bake at 350°F for approximately 1 hour.
