OLD FASHION POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. self rising flour
1 tbsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tbsp. lemon flavoring
1 c. oil
6 eggs

Mix all ingredients together and beat 10 minutes. This is the life of the recipe. Pour into tube pan and cook 1 hour at 325 degrees in preheated oven.

This is a easy and delicious cake. I followed the directions as is. I left cake in the pan to cool. As a glaze I mixed 1 c white sugar, 1/2 c water & 2 tsp. Lemon flavor (use whatever flavor that is put in cake) brought to a boil, let sit about a minute then poured over cake while in the pan. Once cake cooled completely took out of pan. Next morning cut it and it was great. I will be making this again and again.

I was looking for an easy cake that used ingredients I had on hand. I wanted a chocolate pound so I sifted a half cup of dutch in with the flour and mixed the full ten minutes. The batter is wonderful and the cake is equally so. I was so pleased with the simplicity and the great product.

I was really pleased on how the cake turned out without using butter. I have made some cakes with butter but none of them ever came out like this one. Cause I had a flash back about the way my grandmother made cakes and she was the best cake maker. Everybody wanted more and more. ALL thumbs up
