BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. Great Northern or navy beans
Water
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 can tomato soup
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 lb. ham
1 lb. bacon

Soak beans in plenty of water overnight; drain. Add water to cover and simmer gently for 1/2 hour; drain. Add onions, soup, brown sugar, and cubed ham and bacon. Mix well and bake, covered, in 325 degree oven for 5 to 6 hours. Add liquid if necessary during baking. Uncover last hour if beans are too juicy.
