ITALIAN ANISE TOAST 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Sm. pinch salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. salad oil
1/2 tsp. anise oil
1/2 c. cut nuts

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl; put sugar in another bowl and beat in eggs, one at a time. Add oil and anise oil; add flour and nuts alternately to egg mixture and mix well. Knead on lightly floured board. Divide dough into 4 rolls about 1" high, 3" long and 2" wide. Brush with milk or cream to glaze.
