Bacon drippings
Butter

Select large well rounded potatoes (not long and slender). Scrub with brush, dry thoroughly after washing. Brush potatoes with bacon drippings, or soft shortening. Place in 350 degree oven and bake 45- 60 minutes, or until soft. Remove from oven, cut lengthwise and season with butter. Excellent to serve with pork or fowl.

TO FREEZE: Cut lengthwise and place on cookie sheet. When frozen put into freezer bags. When ready to use remove from bag, place in warm oven to thaw. Heat and butter.
