SKILLET HAM AND CHEESE | |
1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 8 1/2 oz. elbow macaroni, uncooked 3 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. ham, cubed 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese 1 c. sour cream Melt butter in large skillet. Add onion and green pepper, saute until tender. Stir in flour and salt. Add macaroni and milk, then ham. Cover. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally. Add cheese and sour cream and stir until cheese is melted. Do not boil. Serves 6 to 8. |
