1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make cake mix as directed. Fill each lined cupcake holder 2/3 full. Mix cream cheese, salt, sugar, and egg until creamy. Add chocolate chips. Drop a teaspoon of filling into each cupcake. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
