OLD FASHIONED TEA CAKES 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream butter thoroughly. Add sugar a little at a time and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour, measure then add baking powder and salt. Sift 3 times, add flour mixture a little at a time and mix good. Add flavoring. Chill, roll dough very thin and cut in desired shapes. Bake in quick oven 400 degrees for 6-10 minutes or until slightly browned.
