Slices potatoes Sliced carrots Sliced celery and onion 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. browned crumbly hamburger Lg. can whole tomatoes Reg. No. 2 can tomato sauce Lg. can V-8 juice In a large pan, put in layers: all vegetables, then meat, then tomatoes, tomato sauce and V-8 juice. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. OR - works well in a slow cooker at Number 3 setting. OR - I put it in the slow cooker at a lower setting and let it cook overnight. |
