CHOP SUEY 
3 c. diced lean raw pork or veal
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. sliced onion
4 c. sliced celery
3 c. water
1 tsp. Chinese brown sauce
1 #2 can mixed Chinese vegetables
1 tbsp. cornstarch
4 tbsp. soy sauce
Cooked rice
Chow mein noodles

Saute meat in butter until brown. Add onion, celery, water and brown sauce; cook until meat and vegetables are tender, adding water if necessary. Add drained mixed vegetables and heat 3 minutes longer.

Mix cornstarch with soy sauce and add to hot mixture, stirring constantly and cook until slightly thickened. Serve over rice. Add chow mein noodles over mixture if desired.
