TAMALE PIE | |
1 lb. lean ground beef browned (I always add more) 1 (6 count) pkg. tamales (I use "xlente", near the cheese and deli section) 1 (15 oz.) can cream-style corn 1 (15 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (8 to 15 oz.) can tomato sauce (depending on how saucy you like it) 1 (4 oz.) can sliced black olives, drained 1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese (I use less, between 1/2 and 3/4) salt and pepper to taste, some red pepper flakes if you so desire (I always do) Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch pan or dish. Brown ground beef. Drain the fat. Cut up tamales in a large bowl with the rest of the ingredients and mix everything together. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 45 minutes or until bubbly. Enjoy! Submitted by: CB |
