BLANC MANGE 
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

1. Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in deep 1 quart casserole. Gradually blend in milk.

2. Microwave at medium-high (70%) until mixture begins to boil and is slightly thickened, 9-11 minutes, stirring every 2-3 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Pour into four 6 ounce custard cups. Cover with plastic wrap. Chill until set. Top with fruit, if desired. Makes 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
