BAKED ACORN SQUASH 
3-4 acorn squash
4 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. salt & 1 tsp. pepper
Or brown sugar instead of salt & pepper

Wash squash, cut into halves and remove seeds and fibers. Wipe dry; brush with butter; sprinkle with salt and pepper or brown sugar. Place cup side down on cookie sheet and bake in slow oven (325 degrees) for 1 1/4 hours. Serves 6-8.
