TEXAS POUND CAKE | |
1 cup (2 sticks) butter 2 cups sugar 6 eggs 1 (12 oz.) box vanilla wafers 1/2 cup milk 1 (7 oz.) pkg. coconut (angel flake) 1 cup chopped pecans Cream butter and sugar. Add one egg at a time. Beat after each egg. Crush vanilla wafers finely. Alternate milk and wafers. Add coconut and fold in pecans. Bake it in an angel food pan, greased and floured thoroughly. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325°F. |
