MICROWAVE BAKED APPLES 
4 med. GA baking apples
4 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
Cinnamon or nutmeg
Raisins or nuts

Cut a strip from the top of each cored apple. Press 1 tablespoon brown sugar into each hole and add 1/2 tablespoon butter to each. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Microwave apples on low for 5 to 6 minutes until tender. Turn the dish and pour any syrup into center of each one.

Optional: Add raisins/nuts to brown sugar for added flavor.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
