MICROWAVE BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 sq. unsweetened baking chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 lg. eggs
1/2 c. flour
3 tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Melt butter and chocolate. Add vanilla. Cool slightly. In large mixing bowl, beat with mixer sugar and eggs until pale and thick. Slowly beat in cooled chocolate. Beat in flour 1/4 cup at a time. Mix in buttermilk and nuts.

Pour batter into greased 8x8 pan. Cook 6-8 minutes on HIGH. Turn dish 1/4 turn every 2 minutes until brownies are fairly dry on top and toothpick comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
