2 1/2 tbsp. shortening 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 2 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. milk Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, nutmeg, and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Beat well. Spoon into paper baking cups, set in muffin pans. Fill 3/4 full. Bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Will not be browned. Test as you would a cake. While hot, dip in 3/4 cup melted butter, then roll in 1 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. |
