APPLE CRISP FOR ONE (MICROWAVE
OVEN)
 
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. dark brown sugar
2 tbsp. quick cooking oats
1 tbsp. all - purpose flour
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 med. apple, peeled and sliced
Whipped cream or ice cream for garnish

Place butter in one cup glass measure. Microwave, uncovered, on High for 10 seconds or until soft. Stir in sugar, oats, flour and cinnamon. Set aside. Place apple slices in small microwave - safe bowl. Sprinkle oat mixture over apples. Microwave, uncovered, on High for 2 1/2 minutes or until apples are tender. Rotate dish once during cooking. Serve warm or chilled. Garnish with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Also can use large peach. Makes 1 serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

This is wonderful. I did mine in a cereal bowl with a Granny Smith. I did need an extra minute and I am generous with the cinnamon. Ate it warm with milk.

This was a terrific, quick fruit based dessert for my toddler. It worked perfectly and got her to eat apple as she won't eat it raw. I served it with plain Greek yoghurt. It was delicious.
