GOULASH--POOR MAN'S MEAL | |
1 to 1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat 1/4 c. bell pepper 1/4 c. onion Salt and pepper to taste 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce 4 to 5 oz. water 1 c. uncooked macaroni 1/2 c. Velveeta, Cheddar or American cheese Boil macaroni and drain. Brown meat with chopped bell pepper and onion. Add salt and pepper. Drain meat and add chili powder, tomato sauce and water to macaroni. Mix well; add cheese and simmer. TIP: To stretch a meal, add a can of Ranch style beans. |
