CREAM CHEESE LOGS 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 pkg. semi-sweet morsels
1 tub chocolate sprinkles

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream sugar, butter, cream cheese and vanilla until fluffy. Beat in egg. Add flour, walnuts and salt. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Shape dough into logs and bake 12-15 minutes until lightly browned. Cool cookies on wire rack for 15 minutes.

Melt chocolate chips in a Pyrex dish in microwave oven or in a small saucepan over low heat. Dip cookies ends into melted chocolate and then dip into chocolate sprinkles (jimmies). Place cookies on a cookie sheet with wax paper. Let chocolate harden on cookies for about 30 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
