PIGS IN A BLANKET 
1 1/2 lb. hamburger
1 onion, chopped
1/2 c. raw rice
Salt and pepper
Cabbage

Mix hamburger, onion and rice together. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and refrigerate. Cut off cabbage leaves and put leaves in hot salted water to soften. Remove the cabbage leaves from water and fill with the hamburger mixture.

Put only enough so that the leaves can be rolled over the mix, put toothpicks or string around it to keep mix inside. Place the cabbage rolls in a heavy baking dish with a small amount of water. Cover tightly and cook at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Season to taste. (After 1 hour, heat can be lowered for slower cooking.)
