SPAGHETTI WITH WHITE CLAM SAUCE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
2 cans (7 1/2 oz. each) minced, chopped or whole clams or 1 tall can clams
1/3 c. oil, salad or olive or mixed
1/4 c. butter
3 cloves garlic, pressed or finely chopped
2 tbsp. finely chopped parsley
1 tsp. salt

Prepare spaghetti according to package directions, adding 1 tablespoon oil to the cooking water. Drain clams, reserve liquid. On low heat, heat 1/3 cup oil with the butter; add garlic and cook about 5 minutes.

Add clam juice, parsley and salt. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Add clams; simmer just until they are hot. Serve over spaghetti.
