COUNTRY HAM 
1/4 c. butter
1 sm. head cabbage, shredded
1/2 tsp. salt
1 smoked ham, center slice, 1" thick
2 tbsp. pancake syrup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In skillet on medium-high heat cook cabbage in butter and salt, about 15 minutes. Put cabbage in baking dish. Put ham on top of cabbage drizzle syrup on top. Bake 30 minutes. Stir cabbage occasionally so it doesn't stick. Serves 6.
