BUTTERNUT CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk
4 whole eggs
2 tsp. butter flavoring

Cream sugar and shortening at high speed 10 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add one cup flour. Beat at a low speed one minute. Add remaining flour and milk. Beat well. Add flavoring.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour in greased tube pan.

Icing:

1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 box confectioners sugar
1 tsp. butter flavoring

Mix well. Add 1 cup chopped pecans; mix. Spread on cake. Best kept refrigerated.
