BUTTERNUT CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. self rising flour
2 tbsp. butternut flavoring
2 1/2 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs one at a time. Beat well. Add flour and milk alternately. Beat well. Pour into 3 or 4 prepared layer pans. Bake in 350 degree oven until done, 25 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 tsp. butternut flavoring
1 box 4x sugar
1 c. chopped nuts or coconut

Mix ingredients together. Ice layers.

In the icing I added a extra half of block of cream cheese and about a 1/2 cup of powdered sugar to make the icing go farther. I also used butter instead of the Crisco in the cake batter, I found that the cake does not need to be baked for the entire 25 mins, I baked my for approx 22 mins.
