2 c. cornmeal
1 c. plain flour
2 tsp. celery seed
3 eggs
2 lg. onions, chopped
8 oz. beer
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Mix all ingredients. Batter should be stiff. Deep fry.
