SHREDDED WHEAT BREAD 
1 c. scalded milk
1 c. very hot water
2 lg. shredded wheat biscuits, crushed
1/3 c. molasses
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
3 c. flour
1/2 c. wheat germ
1-2 c. flour

Cool milk and hot water to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 c. lukewarm water. Stir into shredded wheat mixture. Mix in 3 cups flour and wheat germ. Add remainder of flour to make easy to handle dough.

Knead, let rise. Punch down. Let rise again. Make into loaves. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until deep golden brown and sounds hollow.
