CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
Bars:

1 pkg. Devil Food cake mix
1 can cherry fruit pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix above ingredients. This will be thick. Pour in 9 x 13 inch or 10 x 15 inch pan.

Bake until cake tests done.

Frosting:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
pecans, optional

Combine sugar, milk, and butter. Bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute (plus or minus 1 minute if watery), stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add chips, beat until melted. Add pecans, if desired. Pour over warm cake.
