1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
5 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cold water

Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, and salt together. Sift a second time into a bowl. Make 3 holes in the mixture and add the following to each hole; vinegar to one, oil to second, vanilla to third. Over all pour 1 cup of cold water and mix until well blended. Bake at 350 degrees in a square pan about 30 minutes. Ice with powdered sugar icing or your favorite.
