TENDER BRISKET 
5 lb. brisket
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup
Clove garlic
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 c. water

Wash solid piece of brisket. Put 1/2 package Lipton onion soup on bottom of baking pan. Insert slivers of garlic in meat. Place brisket on top of onion soup adding the remaining soup on top. Cook at 300 degrees without lid or water 1/2 hour. Pour 1/4 cup soy sauce and 1 cup water over brisket. Heat 1/2 hour, cover with foil and lid. Bake 275 to 300 degrees for 3 to 4 hours until tender.
