ITALIAN CREAM CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. coconut

Cream Crisco, sugar, add egg yolks, beating after each yolk. Add flour sifted with soda, baking powder, and salt, alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla, coconut and pecans. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. or 1 c. pecans
1/2 c. coconut
1 stick butter

Cream butter and cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Add pecans and coconut.
