GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE 
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. corn starch
1 can evaporated milk
1/4 c. water
1 pkg. German chocolate sweet bar (green pkg.)
1 tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 chocolate pie crust

Mix cornstarch and water, beat slowly until smooth and add sugar, 1 cup evaporated milk, chocolate bar and butter. Cook over heat until mixture thickens. In a bowl, beat 2 eggs with fork and a small amount of chocolate mixture and return it to chocolate mixture. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into pie crust.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE TOPPING:

1 egg, beaten
Remaining evaporated milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Cook over medium heat until thickens. Remove from heat, and stir in 1/2 cup coconut and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Chill. Spread on top of pie.
