SALSA RAPIDA DE CHILE 
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. lard or olive oil
1/4 c. chile powder
1/4 tsp. ground cumin seed
1 c. tomato puree
1 lg. garlic clove, mashed
1 tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. salt
1 c. water or bouillon

Cook onion and garlic in lard until wilted. Add flour, cook for 1 minute, then add other ingredients. Simmer for 10 minutes before serving hot. Makes about 2 cups.
