TOMATO BISQUE 
1 qt. milk
1 qt. tomatoes
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. baking soda
Salt, pepper
Small lump of butter

Put milk on and heat to boiling point. Stir in cornstarch moistened with a little cold milk. Heat tomatoes (I put mine through a sieve to remove pulp and seeds) in another pan. Add seasoning and lastly soda. Pour into milk and serve. Serve with toast.
