TOFFEE SQUARES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk, beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Melt butter and mix with sugar, then blend with other ingredients in order. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

ICING:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 egg white

Mix together and spread over toffee squares.
