DONNA'S FAMOUS BEER BREAD 
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. unsifted white flour
1 1/4 c. rye flour, unsifted
3/4 c. beer
1 tbsp. honey
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water, 110-115 degrees
1 tsp. caraway

Dissolve yeast in warm water, let set in warm place. Mix 1 1/4 cups white flour with the rye flour, 2 1/2 cup total. Heat beer, honey, and butter until the butter melts. Add caraway, salt, garlic, yeast, and flour mixture. Beat until smooth. Add remaining white flour to make soft dough. On floured board, knead until smooth, 4-5 minutes. Shape unto ball, butter outside. Place in well greased cake pan. Let raise 45 minutes in a warm place. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Brush top with butter. Cool on rack.

NOTE: You can use all white flour, omitting the rye.
