SHORTCUT BEER BREAD 
3/4 c. beer (dark or light)
2 tbsp. butter
1 (13 3/4 oz.) pkg. hot roll mix
1 egg
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. Wheat Germ

In saucepan, heat beer and butter until just warm. Pour into mixer bowl, add yeast from roll mix and dissolve. Add egg, sugar, wheat germ and dry ingredients from roll mix. Mix well. Place in greased bowl, turn once to grease surface. Cover and let rise until double in size (45 to 60 minutes). Punch down, knead and shape into loaf. Place in greased loaf pan and let rise again (30 to 35 minutes). Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
